Mukhathala Sree Krishnaswami Temple

The mukhathala Murari temple holds a unique position in the cultural history of Travancore. This famous Sreekrishnaswami temple was the prominent position under the rule of Desinganadu King. The temple is situated on the Kollam – Kannanalloor road, nearly eight kilometers from the city in the Thrikkovilvattom village. According to archeologists the renovated temple itself is believed to be over three thousand years old. The temple follows the system of five rituals (poojas).

Umayanalloor Sri Balasubramanya Swami Temple

Umayanalloor Sree Balasubramanya Swamy Temple is an antiquated hallowed place situated at Umayanalloor in Kollam District of Kerala. The managing god here is Lord Muruga. ദക്ഷിണകേരളത്തിലെ അറിയപ്പെടുന്നതും ചരിത്രപ്രാധാന്യമുള്ളതുമായ ക്ഷേത്രങ്ങളിലൊന്നാണ് ശ്രീ വലിയ കൂനമ്പായിക്കുളം ഭദ്രകാളിക്ഷേത്രം. കൊല്ലം പട്ടണത്തിൻറെ വളർച്ചയിൽ സാക്ഷിയായി ഈ ക്ഷേത്രമുണ്ടായിരുന്നു,പല രൂപങ്ങളിൽ പല പേരുകളിൽ... കൊല്ലം ജില്ലയിലെ പള്ളിമുക്കിൽ നിന്ന് ഒരു കി.മീ. വടക്കുകിഴക്കായി വടക്കേവിളയിൽ വടക്കോട്ട് ദർശനമായി ക്ഷേത്രം സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്നു.തിരുവനന്തപുരത്തുനിന്ന് ഏതാണ്ട് 65 കി.മീ. അകലെയാണ് ഈ ക്ഷേത്രം. തച്ചുശാസ്ത്ര വിധി പ്രകാരം കൃഷ്ണശിലയിൽ പണിതീർത്തതും മേൽക്കൂരയില്ലാത്തതുമായ ശ്രീകോവിൽ 16-04-2000 ൽ പഞ്ചലോഹനിർമ്മിതമായ പ്രതിഷ്ഠ നടത്തി പുനഃനിർമ്മിക്കപ്പെട്ടു.ഇവിടെ ദേവിയോടൊപ്പം മഹാഗണപതിയും ബ്രഹ്മരക്ഷസ്സും യോഗീശ്വരനും കണ്ഠാകർണ്ണനും വീരഭദ്രനും പിന്നെ യക്ഷിയമ്മയും കുടികൊള്ളുന്നു.നാഗരാജാവും നാഗയക്ഷിയും രാഹുദോഷങ്ങളെ മാററിയും മംഗല്യതടസ്സങ്ങൾ നീക്കിയും വാണരുളുന്നു.ആൽമരങ്ങളും പനകളും ആറാട്ടുകുളവും വിദ്യാലയങ്ങളുമെല്ലാം ക്ഷേത്രത്തിൻറെ ആത്മീയാന്തരീക്ഷത്തെ സമ്പന്നമാക്കുന്നു. ശ്രീ നാരായണഗുരുവിൻറെ ചൈതന്യമുള്ള ഗുരുമന്ദിരവും ഇവിടെയുണ്ട്.
